Broken Heart Gin
A gin developed by two Germans living in New Zealand who grew to become good friends. One of them then tragically became ill and died, however, leaving the other to share the gin with the world alone. The name is heart-wrenchingly appropriate, but we’re reminded that all ends come with new beginnings, with this gin representing those “moments of in-between”.
Tasting Notes: The nose is piney as a result of the juniper. The added angelica gives this gin body and an earthy quality, which is complemented by pimento pepper. The gin strikes a fine balance, with the more delicate botanicals, such as lavender and lemon peel, ensuring smoothness. The finish is citrussy, clean and extremely well balanced.
