Ferrer Bobet

The entry level release from this outstanding producer. Priorat is one of only two wine regions in Spain to be awarded DOCa status for the outstanding quality of its wine production, the other of course being Rioja. This is partially due to the distinctive ‘llicorella’ (disintegrated slate) soil that grows here. Ferrer Bobet was established by Sergi Ferrer-Salat and Raül Bobet with the intension of producing wines which reflect the essence and terroir of the Priorat region. Ferrer Bobet has been described as ‘the future showplace of Priorat’ by Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, and it is no surprise with fine releases such as these!

91 Points. ‘Whistle-clean, youthful fruit on the nose with a hint of new oak and some seductive floral overtones. Rich, ripe and rounded in the mouth. Old-vine fruit is well-integrated with a dash of spice.’
