Salentein Barrel Selection Cabernet Franc

Original price was: €21.99.Current price is: €19.99.

With the Bodegas Salentein Barrel Selection Cabernet Franc comes a first-class vegan red wine in the glass. In this it reveals a wonderfully dense, purple colour. With a little time in the glass, this red wine from Argentina presents wonderfully expressive aromas of blueberry, mulberry, blackberry and black currant, rounded out by air-dried ham, brown bread and vanilla contributed by aging in wooden barrels.

This dry red wine from Bodegas Salentein is something for purists who can’t drink their wine dry enough. The Barrel Selection Cabernet Franc is already quite close to this, it was vinified with just 1.9 grams of residual sugar. This dense red wine is full-bodied and multifaceted on the palate. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Barrel Selection Cabernet Franc flatters the palate with a velvety feel, without lacking juicy liveliness. The final of this youthful red wine from the wine-growing region of Mendoza finally thrills with good reverberation

Vinification of the Barrel Selection Cabernet Franc from Bodegas Salentein

This red wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Cabernet Franc. For this wonderfully powerful single-varietal wine from Bodegas Salentein, only the best grapes were harvested. After the hand harvest, the grapes reach the winery by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully milled. Then fermentation takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the powerful Barrel Selection Cabernet Franc is aged for several more months in oak barrels. After the wine is finished, the Barrel Selection Cabernet Franc is carefully harmonized
