Tasting Notes: Pesquera is one of the foremost Ribera del Dueros and their Crianza is one of their biggest selling wines. It's made from 100% Tempranillo, grown in their own vineyards, and is aged for 18 months in oak prior to bottling. On the nose the aromas are of blackberries and plums with spicy hints and a touch of vanilla creaminess while the palate shows delicious ripe raspberry and cherry fruit flavours. There's plenty of power here which, coupled with the rounded tannins, give it a nicely sleek and silky feel in the lead up to a subtly spicy finish.
