In the late 1980s, La Rioja Alta finally abandoned the production of white Rioja wines and began a painstaking search for a great white that would have a great personality and traits that would set it apart from other Spanish wines. So begins the story of a lovely venture in Galician lands.
They sought excellence in white wines and we found it. Enjoying a unique microclimate, our Galician winery, Lagar de Cervera, lies at the heart of the Rías Baixas, on the Atlantic coast. In 1988, we took on the task of putting together the largest Albariño vineyard in this wine region. Albariño is a grape of extraordinary quality used to make the single-varietal Lagar de Cervera and the Viña Armenteira orujos.
Just over 25 years after of our arrival in Galicia, they have completely renovated our winery, providing it with the most modern techniques available. Their main goal: to consistently make the best possible Lagar de Cervera Albariño every vintage.

Tasting Notes: On the palate it is structured and enveloping, with well-integrated acidity, very balanced, with a very long and pleasant persistence.
