Spicy, fruity, honeyed and slightly dry, a sherry nuttiness, vanilla, and pleasant mild woody notes all come together to create this wonderfully full-bodied and flavoursome whiskey. Finish: There is a subtle and intriguing finish with a sweet wine note evident.
Released in 2003 as a limited edtion aged in three types of barrels- american oak, oloroso sherry butts and port pipes. This special edition was carefully assembled by former master distiller Barry Crockett from some of the last remaining pot still whiskeys from the Old Midelton Distillery. The bottle in this example is in very good condition however the box and booklet show some signs of wear and tear.
